In doing a bit of math I came to the realization that I've haven't actively DM'd or played D&D since shortly after my son was born (14 years if you're playing at home). So here I sit, designing a campaign that I've already committed to running starting next month. This all started out as designing a world for some stories that I was (still am actually) going to publish here.
I mentioned this to one of the guys that I work with, who's a big gamer - mostly Magic: The Gathering, but he's played D&D in the past. Ask if he'd be interested in dusting off his dice, and he was more than willing - and would tell friends of his. So it looks like I have a group, and need to kick putting this campaign together.
Granted I've got notes, and ideas filed away. Now it's time to put them together in to something fun, adventurous and well; not boring? This is what I've gotten myself into, at first it was just for me - then committing to actually run this campaign after 14 years away from the game...
Does this make me crazy?
